The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

The Salvation Arny provides food, clothing, gasoline, bus tickets, temporary shelter, disaster services, kids' camp, utilities, and medical prescriptions for those in need.
Crisis Intervention
• Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council (ADAC)-(936) 634-6346
ADAC provides ongoing planning of alcohol programs through assessment of community needs and assistance, planning information from assessment and development of programs.
• Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)-(936) 560-4711
CASA trains and supervises volunteers to speak in court for child victims of abuse and neglect in order to effectively prepare them for a hopeful, productive future in a safe, permanent home.

Formerly the Women's Shelter, Family Crisis Center provides 24-hour support, housing and referral services to battered women and their children, in addition to offering counseling to men, women and children who are battered and/or sexually abused.
